Western Red Cedar Shingles Red Label [CAPITOL CITY LUMBER] Description
These Western Red Cedar shingles are 18â in length and vary in width from 3â to 8â wide. Red label shingles are a #2 grade that do allow for knots. The face is typically 11â clear or better on the 18â shingle. Limited sapwood and flat grain are allowed. Limited knots and defects are allowed above the clear portion. This shingle is 3/8â to 7/16â thick on the butt end and tapers to an average 1/8â thickness. This shingle is sold in packs of 12 square feet. This is an ideal pack size for birdhouses, small repairs, outdoor projects, and hobbies. The red label shingles are recommended for exterior or interior walls and are not recommended for residential or commercial roofing.
